John 14:23

The Oasis at Goose Creek, SC

John 14:23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”

I returned to the Boston area on Tuesday, from The Oasis, Goose Creek, South Carolina and I already miss my son and daughter-in-law. Being with them is natural and comfortable, like we’re patches cut from the same cloth. It’s such a wonderful feeling to be able to fly from one place to another, nine-hundred miles away, and still be at home.

As Christians, we are all Temples of the Living God. When His Spirit abides in us, we can rest assured that we are always at home wherever we may be.

Thank You, Lord, for family and Christian Brothers and Sisters. You’ve given us this world with many places to call home. Help us to see that the most important home of all is Your indwelling Spirit.

  1. Did you read Jesus Calling this morning? Because it was saying the same thing! “No matter where you are in the world, you know you belong when you sense My nearness.” with the verse “You are my hiding place.” Psa. 32:7 God bless you, big sis.

(By the way I was looking at using the same verse you quoted from John this morning. God is awesome the way the works all that stuff out.)

  2. Not only are we sisters-in-Christ… we may be clones too!
I didn’t read Jesus Calling until afterwards!

PS I like yoiur new icon!

  3. Yes, I think its awesome how God sometimes teaches the same things to us at the same time.

My new avatar is a picture of a cross hanging on my wall at home that I got when we were in Taos, NM. Bless you, big sis.
